Head of Technology Maturation
Do you want to lead a highly skilled specialist team and help set the strategic direction for important material technology areas? At Coloplast, you will create the framework for a newly established team to thrive, develop and deliver technologies that support better products for people with intimate health care needs.
“You will thrive in this role if you are motivated by leading a highly skilled team that brings together deep in-house knowledge and external collaboration to create technologies that help set us apart,” says Director for Technology Development, Charlotte Juel Fristrup.
Lead a newly established team of dedicated specialists
From our HQ in Humlebæk, you will lead a team of 13 skilled colleagues with deep expertise in different polymer technologies. The team is part of Technology Development, which consists of 3 departments responsible for early exploration and technology maturation for products and primary packaging across Continence Care, Ostomy Care, Bowel Care, and dressings for Wound & Tissue Repair.
Here, you can look forward to a collaborative culture where the 3 departments work together cross-functionally on a range of technology projects and in smaller groups for the explorative activities.
“We have a very high degree of synergy and diversity across the departments in Technology Development – both in terms of specialties and personalities. Our mix of nationalities, ages, genders and professional backgrounds enables us to bring the best to the table,” Charlotte continues.
You will also join the Technology Development leadership team, where you will influence strategic decisions, contribute to planning and help strengthen how we develop and mature future technologies.
Empower your team to take ownership and grow
Your team members contribute with their specialized polymer knowledge to technology projects and exploration activities. Your role is to give them direction, trust and support them in making technical decisions, make them lead within their areas of expertise and grow as both specialists and collaborators.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
-
Lead, guide and support the team, ensuring that team members thrive, perform and develop – individually and as one strong unit.
-
Build constructive dialogue with project managers and stakeholders, ensuring that your team is well positioned to contribute and grow.
-
Ensure that the team is oriented towards new technologies, methods and knowledge sources that can strengthen our technology pipeline.
-
Encourage engagement with external collaboration partners within the team to identify and act on new opportunities.
“You will be an advocate for values centered around inclusiveness, empowerment and aiming high. With the right leadership, this amazing and talented team has the potential to flourish even further,” Charlotte continues.
Experienced people leader with strong stakeholder skills
You bring solid communication skills and the ability to create followership across a broad stakeholder landscape. You know how to engage colleagues, align expectations and help a specialist team succeed both within the department and across the organization.
As this is a newly established team, you bring the ability to create structure, direction and confidence, helping the team find its footing, build momentum and deliver on its ambitions.
We also imagine that you:
-
Have solid leadership experience and a genuine motivation to develop people and teams.
-
Have a good technical understanding that enables you to grasp the professional elements of your team’s projects and challenges.
-
Have worked with early technology development and technology pipelines, preferably within life science
