Join Research & Development  – a gathering of specialists
Based in our HQ in Humlebæk, you will be joining our Research & Development team, where a recent reorganisation has made room for new adventures. One of the new areas is our Test & Characterization division, under which you will find your new unit – Pre-clinical Testing. Here, 35 highly engaged colleagues work in the intersection of several scientific areas such as biology, chemistry, mechanics and microbiology, as well as actual human behavioural testing.

“We are a high-profile, multicultural lab, facing large and important projects – ranging from how bandages affect skin to device testing where robots simulate stomachs with ostomy bags,” says Senior Vice President R&D, Anders Nørby.

You will also join our management team in the Test & Characterisation area - and together, you will be setting the agenda for how we run tests across R&D.

Spearhead a unit in our core business
As our new director, you will be overall responsible for ensuring that we have the best and most fitting competences in the unit, so that we can stay frontrunners in the field.

You will be working closely with both our Chief Principal Scientist as well as the 3 team managers, and with their input draw up strategies with the aim to fulfill the potential of the unit. Also, you will gain a close working relationship with Product Design & Engineering as well as our Clinical team to build knowledge and ensure high quality product development to the benefit of our users.

Specifically, you will get to:

  • Organise the research and development activities in the lab
  • Ensure that the lab supports our clinical strategy with preclinical evidence
  • Continuously secure knowledge sharing and mentoring with and in-between scientists, in all types of preclinical tasks regarding technical considerations, together with the Chief Principal Scientist
  • Secure continuous development through open and honest dialogue, creating an environment where all are heard, and challenges are fairly discussed, and decisions are acted upon

“Our clear ambition is to maintain and expand our leading position within clinical performance in the industry – something that your leadership will also have a strong focus on,” says Anders Nørby further.

You have a scientific education and a strong motivation for management

While a scientific background is given, you also have a strong motivation to lead other leaders. You thrive with networking and stakeholder management, meaning that cross-organisational cooperation comes natural to you. Also, you are not afraid of challenging the status quo and having the technical data-based dialogue with your colleagues.

Furthermore, we imagine that you:

  • Have a scientific degree within natural science – e.g., biology, biochemistry, biomedicine, pharmacy, medicine
  • Have good management experience – preferable from a scientific environment
  • Speak and write English fluently, so that you can ensure smooth communication with your multicultural colleagues
