Our Advanced Wound Dressing business is on an exciting profitable growth journey, which we are looking to accelerate further with our upcoming 2030 strategy. To help deliver on this ambition, we are looking for an exceptional talent to lead our Commercial Development team in the Global Advanced Wound Dressing (AWD) business unit.

 

 
As the Commercial Development Director, you will be leading a strong team of five senior Commercial Excellence professionals, along with dotted-line ownership of Global Sales Training. The role involves significant interaction with colleagues across the world. You will be responsible for ensuring the team delivers on its agenda, providing guidance and support on team members’ projects and deliverables. In addition to guiding the team, you will also drive your own projects, acting as a player-coach.

 

The projects delivered by this team are diverse based on business needs, and typically anchored in our markets, involving stakeholders from all levels of the organization. Examples of projects include annual business planning, preparing growth cases, elevating our commercial execution across affiliates, developing G2M models, market expansion activities, lead our strategy work, own digital prioritizations, monitor salesforce productivity, etc.

Furthermore, as the Commercial Development Director, you will be part of the AWD HQ Leadership Team, and work closely with the Global AWD Leadership Team. In this capacity you are expected to contribute to setting the overall direction of the Advanced Wound Dressing business and by that have an active stake in the future success of the business.

Specifically, you will:

  • Set the direction for the Commercial Development and ensuring strong execution (impact matters!)
  • Manage and coach the team, fostering a high-performance culture with pace-over-perfection
  • Lead own projects such as growth cases and go-to-market model projects
  • Own the Annual Business Planning process with all our markets 
  • Elevate the Commercial Execution of our global sales force in a structured program
  • Lead the strategy process of the business unit and track performance
  • Process owner for Digital and IT (e.g. CRM) and securing developments 
  • Explore new market opportunities
  • Facilitate best practice sharing in the ComEx functions working in our affiliates across the world
  • Travel around 20-40 days annually to be expected 

 

To be successful in this role, it is essential that you enjoy working in a matrix organization with a multitude of stakeholders. It is essential that you are able to work with people from all layers of the organization.

 

Professional qualifications 
We believe the ideal candidate has the following competencies:

 

  • 3+ years’ people management experience from similar function and 5+ years’ work experience from either a similar corporate commercial development functions or management consulting
  • Ideally from Healthcare across a multitude of geographical and commercially diverse countries
  • Critical thinker with excellent structured problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication- and project management skills
  • Strong analytical toolbox and commercial understanding
  • Strong proficiency working with PowerPoint and Excel
  • Master’s degree, preferable in business management
  • Excellent English skills, Danish is not required
