Clinical Trial Sourcing & Contract Manager
Humlebæk, DK

Are you driven by the opportunity to improve lives through clinical innovation? At Coloplast, we are looking for a motivated Clinical Trial Sourcing & Contract Manager to join our team. In this role, you’ll have the chance to take full responsibility for sourcing and contracting activities that directly support the development of life-changing products for people worldwide.
The Position
As Clinical Trial Sourcing & Contract Manager, you will play a central role in sourcing vendors (e.g. CROs and SMOs) and clinical sites (e.g. hospitals) to support our diverse portfolio of clinical studies and other related evidence-generating activities. You will manage the sourcing process end-to-end, from identifying needs to selecting, contracting, and managing long-term partners. Your expertise will ensure that clinical trials are executed efficiently and in alignment with Coloplast’s strategic goals.
While you will own the contracting process end-to-end, you will work in close collaboration with a senior colleague who brings extensive experience and serves as a sparring partner, particularly on complex contractual or commercial matters. You are not expected to have legal expertise, but you are expected to take ownership of driving contracts forward in close collaboration with Legal and Procurement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate clinical study requirements into concrete sourcing and contracting strategies for vendors and clinical sites.
- Lead the vendor and site selection process, including RFP (Request for Proposal) development, evaluation, commercial negotiation, and final selection.
- Own the contracting process, including driving negotiations, coordinating reviews, and ensuring timely execution in alignment with internal stakeholders from Legal, Procurement, Data Protection Office, and Clinical Operations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for vendors and sites throughout the sourcing and contracting lifecycle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional study teams to ensure timely, cost-effective, and fit-for-purpose solutions.
- Contribute to process improvements and the development and implementation of best practices, templates, and ways of working in sourcing and contract management.
Your Qualifications
To succeed in this role, we are looking for a candidate with strong sourcing skills and the motivation to further develop within contract management. We imagine that you have:
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field, such as life sciences, business, or procurement.
- 3+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or vendor management within the medtech, pharma, or clinical research industry.
- Proven ability to drive complex sourcing processes independently and manage multiple stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and drive projects to completion.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to adapt your style to internal and external stakeholders and present data-driven insights effectively.
- A proactive approach to process improvement and innovation.
- A collaborative mindset, with the ability to share knowledge and contribute to team learning when needed.
The Department
You will join our Clinical & Medical Affairs organization, consisting of approximately 75 dedicated colleagues working across clinical evidence generation, medical strategy, and scientific support throughout the product lifecycle. Clinical & Medical Affairs plays a key role in ensuring that Coloplast’s products are supported by robust clinical and medical evidence and that insights from clinical practice are translated into value for patients and the business.
Within this organization, you will be part of a smaller, close-knit team of six people covering Sourcing, Contracting, Recruitment, and Data Management, headed by Christian Balling. The team works closely with study teams and stakeholders across Clinical & Medical Affairs to enable clinical activities through strong sourcing, contracting, recruitment support, and data foundations.
