Agile Project Manager in new PMO Function

You will manage a program support function (PMO) with a mix of tasks: Managing and delivering smaller projects, drive/support implementation of enhancements to our way of working, and own various program admin. operational tasks. Be part of our Digital Customer Program, and you will contribute by maturing our company to meet the market requirements of tomorrow within digital services development space.


Our Digital Customer Program (DCP) is where we develop digital services and products to consumers, empowering them to live the life they want, despite of a chronic condition, through self-services and condition management tools. This program is long lasting and is delivering the full digital development lifecycle of web and mobile apps from a new idea to decommissioning a solution.


The PMO is an essential function for the program to continue to deliver with excellence while meeting growing demands from the markets and users. Therefor the PMO now need to be further matured, while at the same time serving ongoing program operations. We are looking for a person who are self-driven, persistent, highly service minded and with an eye for structure, quality, and details to fill this position.  


As Agile Project Manager you will manage the PMO function and will be working in a matrix organization. As a member of the Agile Delivery team (7 people), and as filling out the PMO function in the program organization (~130 people). You will as of now be the only person in the PMO but collaborate with your colleagues in the matrix organization.

 

Lead the PMO with a passion for program excellence

  1. Managing the PMO, you will be involved in a large variety of tasks, grouped into the following main areas: 
  2. Own and executing on various program administrative tasks in relation to program operations and the Agile Delivery function 
  3. Mature and operate a PMO function that support program operations, you work closely with Head of Agile Delivery, program leadership and development process owners on defining, documenting, and implementing improved way of working on a continuous basis


You will also project manage smaller defined projects e.g. lead a pre-analysis before starting a new initiative in the program, or project manage transition projects in relation to organizational maturity, or making program-financial analysis etc.


More specifically you will: 

  • Mature and operate the PMO 
  • Develop processes and overviews to support program leadership in decision making (e.g. portfolio overview and program performance insights) 
  • Take ownership over PMO operational tasks. (contract mgt., budget/cost mgt. people/team overview, team training mgt. etc.) 
  • Help keep program assets and collaboration tools structured and up to date
  • Provide onboarding support to new joiners – both internal and external consultants (e.g. access rights to systems and locations) 
  • Help plan and conduct bigger social program events – virtual as well as physical on-site events
  • Support program leadership with program communications to support good working practices are understood and followed 
  • Project Manage smaller initiatives, leading up to a decision on new program initiatives or implementing program-organizational improvements
  • Help facilitate workshops, document agreements w. stakeholders etc.   

 

Provide program support with passion for improvements and a strong service mindset
To help us operate and mature the program, you need have a passion for “working smarter” - setting up smart tools and lean processes, and enjoy program administrative tasks as well: 

 

You have/are:

  • Project Management experience. Good at initiating projects, scoping, defining corner flags, timelines, risk mgt. manage time and budgets, communicate etc. and to follow through to completion – getting stuff done
  • PMO experience from a large lean-agile program set up (SAFe) is an advantage
  • A strong service mind set as the PMO is a support function to the Digital Customer Program
  • Structured and analytic as these skills are key competencies. This job requires a lot of structure to be self-driven and to establish services that are valuable and simple for others in the program to adapt
  • Motivated by establishing and operating a PMO function, without close PMO team members (as it is a new function) but enjoy outgoing collaboration with stakeholders from the program being the “users” or “customers” of the PMO
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills – listen and responding to needs  
  • Enjoys administrative tasks, like contract mgt. team mgt. economy tasks, onboard and welcome new team members etc. – not as a fulltime job, but ongoing and weekly   
  • Works effortlessly with office tools like, TEAM App’s, PowerPoint, ThinkCell, FigJam and Excel
  • Speak and write business English on a daily basis
