Supply Chain Excellence Engineer

Job Function Summary:

The Supply Chain Improvement Engineer is responsible for driving operational excellence across the end-to-end Supply Chain by identifying improvement opportunities, leading cross-functional projects, implementing Lean and digital solutions, and standardizing processes to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People. The role supports Planning, Purchasing, Warehouse and other business functions through continuous improvement, data-driven decision making, automation and change management.

 

 

Major Areas of Responsibility:

  • Partner with the Head of Supply Chain to define and execute the site's Supply Chain Excellence roadmap.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, PDCA and structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Lead cross-functional improvement projects from opportunity identification through implementation, benefit realization and post-project review.
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives including ERP optimization, warehouse management improvements, Power BI dashboards, Power Apps and workflow automation.
  • Lead 6S, Visual Management, Standard Work, Daily Management and Kaizen activities.
  • Facilitate Value Stream Mapping workshops and identify opportunities to reduce waste, lead time and operational cost.
  • Design and optimize warehouse layouts, material flow, replenishment strategies and storage concepts.
  • Develop KPIs, dashboards and analytics to monitor operational performance and support management decisions.
  • Standardize processes and implement best practices across Supply Chain operations.
  • Support annual operational targets through measurable productivity, service, inventory and cost improvements.
  • Develop business cases for improvement initiatives and track financial benefits.
  • Collaborate with IT, Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality to implement system and process improvements where cross-functional projects exist.
  • Drive organizational change by engaging stakeholders, delivering training and ensuring sustainable adoption.
  • Act as local process owner for SC processes in CMPT
    • Support and facilitate local users in the processes and systems
    • Create and maintain training materials, work instructions and process documentation.
    • Perform local training and training material
    • Review Standard Operating procedures and provide input to improvements
    • Ensure local compliance with global SC procedures and reporting of SC KPIs
  • Benchmark global best practices and support implementation of Industry 4.0 and automation initiatives.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Head of Supply Chain or General Manager.

 

 

 

Essential Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial Engineer, Materials, Electromechanical, Administration or related
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing and continuous improvement
  • English C1 level

 

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt required; Black Belt preferred.
  • ASCM (APICS) CPIM or CSCP certification preferred.
  • Experience in the medical device industry.
  • Experience with ERP and Warehouse Management Systems.

 

 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Project management and stakeholder management experience.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Power Apps and Power Automate.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and process capability.
  • Process mapping, Root Cause Analysis, DMAIC and Value Stream Mapping.
  • Business case development and financial analysis.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Adaptability, accountability and continuous improvement mindset.
