Certified Accountant

CERTIFIED ACCOUNTANT

We are looking for a fully qualified accountant who can take on a broad and important role to have a comprehensive responsibility for the compliance of the company tax identifier, main focus on statutory reports and taxation, including to analyze and provide information about financial records, close collaboration with corporate finance. 

Your challenge will be: 
•    Drive the preparation and submission of the statutory financial statements
•    Preparing and submitting other local reports, tax reports
•    Conducting internal tax audits according to the tax audit framework
•    Ensuring compliance with VAT and other local and EU regulations
•    Supporting and providing data for the calculation of corporate tax, local business taxes, and any other taxes
•    Supporting the preparation of transfer pricing documentation
•    Actively participating in financial and tax audits
•    Implementing new compliance requirements (e.g., online reporting)
•    Responding to ad hoc Intrastat inquiries
•    Responding to ad hoc inquiries from tax authorities regarding tax projections, etc.
•    Collaborating with the group and on-site controllers and Corporate Finance
•    Preparation, analysis and monthly reporting of accounts, maintaining accounting records
•    Providing financial and tax advice; collaboration with external tax adviser
•    Support on frequent reporting requirements of government’s grant 
•    Carry out periodic reports, with critical analysis of information, review of operational and financial performance indicators, providing suggestions for corrective measures
•    Support in the preparation of the quarterly forecasts

The successful candidate will have:

•    Education: University degree in Accounting or other appropriate field
•    Certification as Certified Accountant
•    At least 7 years of experience in statutory reporting and indirect taxes at an accounting firm, at similar company or at tax authority
•    Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
•    Language Skills: Proficiency in Portuguese and English.
•    Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills.
