Team Manager for our R&D Pilot Plant

Are you ready to lead a highly creative and specialised team that develops innovative production processes?

“At Coloplast, we develop products for ostomy, continence and wound care – products that make life easier for people around the world with intimate health care needs. Joining us, you can help make that difference, by ensuring your new team has all the skills and resources needed to develop the right production solutions,” says Sara Niemann, Head of Conversion

Your team turns production needs and ideas into reality
Your new office is located at our Pilot Plant in Mørdrup, where we have gathered over 200 R&D colleagues. Your team consists of 9 members – including highly specialised process engineers and technicians – dedicated to developing, integrating and maturing production processes. They engage in cross-functional development projects across the organisation, focusing mainly on the development of mechanical production processes, including conversion and assembly machines.

Manage your team in a dynamic setting
Your team is involved all the way from the design phase to production equipment being transferred to our volume sites. Consequently, the team enjoys a very varied workday with plenty of exciting technical challenges and collaboration across the plant. Your job will be to make sure that they have the optimal conditions to succeed.

As such, you will ensure an optimal work environment and needed knowledge levels and help your team navigate their collaboration with order functions within our organisation.

You can expect to:

•    Manage, develop and motivate your team, mainly through close communication and collaboration with your team members, but also formal performance feedback, development meetings, salary reviews, etc.
•    Facilitate projects, e.g., allocating resources, helping prioritise between projects, etc.
•    Join in on project meetings to follow progress
•    Handle operational tasks in the department, e.g., ensure safe working conditions, etc.
•    Take part in further improving our internal processes and strategy in close partnership with fellow managers in the plant

Compassionate manager with a technical background
You understand how to secure the necessary resources and skills for any given project, and you know how to create the right structures around your team – but you also bring a human aspect to management. You have an immense respect for the people you lead, and you enjoy working closely with them and lifting them up through positive feedback. With your positive, can-do mindset, you are also driven to join in on the daily grind to show that you succeed best as a team.

Furthermore, you:

•    Have experience with leading, developing and motivating others – alternatively, you have extensive experience with project/process management and are ready to become a people manager
•    Preferably have a technical background, possibly an engineering degree or experience working with production management, process development or the like
•    Are fluent in English and Danish
•    Are able to travel approx. 15 days per year, primarily to visit volume production sites and suppliers across Europe

If you would like to know more about the position, please call Head of Conversion Sara Niemann on +45 49 11 11 08. We will take candidates into the recruitment process continuously, so do not hesitate to apply. This position will remain open until a suitable candidate has been found.
