Team Manager - lead your own Pilot Plant Operations team

Welcome to our Pilot Plant 
At our Pilot Plant in Espergærde, Denmark, you will join 240 colleagues.  100 colleagues are in Operations and work to develop and mature production processes for new Coloplast products and technology. Ultimately, the goal is to ensure a smooth volume production when the new products are made in Hungary. 

 

Out of your 100 new colleagues, you will lead a team of 25 production workers who all do their bit to ensure a matured, streamlined production process. Your team is used to working in a dynamic environment, often moving across work groups and new product projects, so they will be able to give all the input needed to create best practice. 

 

“You’ll also join a great management team alongside 4 other managers. You’ll share an office and have the opportunity to use each other as sounding boards on everything – from health and safety to people management,” says Lars Kaas Nielsen, Director, Pilot Operations, R&D Pilot.

 

You secure optimal operations and motivate your team
As our new team manager, you will lead your team of 25 colleagues who work over three shifts. You will be responsible for ensuring optimal operation of one or more value streams, ie. volume manufacturing and/or projects. You will contribute to improving and optimising our workplace and procedures and document learnings and ensuring the handover to our volume sites in Hungary. 

 

Specifically, you will:

  • Motivate and develop your team and ensure great collaboration
  • Coordinate resources according to sickness, holiday, etc., creating and aligning operation plans with other team managers in Pilot Plant Operation 
  • Take part in setting targets for continuous improvement and learning curves in projects
  • Ensure continuous development of the team and facilitate collaboration with the rest of the Pilot Plant
  • Travel up to 20 days a year, primarily to our production facilities in Hungary

Experience with hygienic, high-quality production 
As a manager, you are ambitious on behalf of your team, and you understand complex correlations and find solutions. You know how to foster good collaboration and ensure the space and setting for your team to perform in a busy environment. Also, you thrive working in an ever-changing setting.

 

Moreover, we imagine that you:

  • Have 3+ years of experience with working in a production environment, preferably with medical equipment or within the pharma or the food industry
  • Have a few years of management experience, managing, developing and motivating employees
  • Are fluent in Danish and English
