Project Manager

Espergærde, DK

Job Family:  Research & Development
Country/Region:  Denmark

Do you want to work in the sweet spot between innovation and solid corporate production units? Where you get to run projects with highly specialized colleagues, with the aim to help people with intimate health care needs?

At Coloplast, we are looking for a strong project manager for our Pilot Plant, who can help us keep a steady and organised overview of our production projects.

Join a team of 5 dedicated project managers
Not far from our HQ in Humlebæk, you will be joining our Pilot Plant in Espergærde. This is the staging ground for all our large-scale production. It is where we test new initiatives, processes, and equipment before it is implemented at our full-scale production units abroad. As such, the Pilot Plant is where our most cutting-edge technology and inventive ideas are put to the test.

Our 250 colleagues share a great sense of community where almost everybody knows everybody – and the average seniority is around 16 years, so we can probably conclude that people like it here.

You will become part of our team of 5 project managers, who work across all functions at the Pilot Plant within a matrix structure. Here, we handle a range of tasks within project management and manning.

“What characterises this team is a passion for professional discussions. We are a diverse group who supplement each other very well, with a deep respect for our individual backgrounds,” says Director Lars Kaas Nielsen.

Take ownership of our innovative production processes
As our new project manager, you will be running project teams consisting of 5-25 team members, lasting anywhere from ½-3 years – depending on the phase of the project, you can have several projects running at the same time.

You will mainly be working with projects that include developing production processes that can be built into our production machines. The days can be somewhat unpredictable, as this is a testing facility where estimates and schedules are not always sure to go as planned.

Specifically, you will be:

  • Working with a range of people – from operators and technicians to specialists and leaders
  • Focusing on Lean methodologies to assure transparency and efficiency
  • Acting on short notice at times e.g., to argue for resources and priorities
  • Representing projects towards management and suppliers
  • Systematically ensuring correct and valid project documentation

“We have the great benefit of being an experimental sandbox where we can test things out – but still have a solid, strong organisation to back us. It doesn´t get much better than that,” Lars continues.

You are an outgoing generalist with project management experience

As a person, you thrive when working with a wide range of people and tying the knots together to help them perform. Also, you find a strong motivation in joining a market-leading company that helps people with intimate health care issues.

In terms of your background, we are open to varies entries, with the most important thing being your organised mindset and ability to run projects – and we further imagine that you:

  • Have project management experience
  • Have experience within development projects
  • Have some knowledge of medico or pharma, including process validation and GMP

If you would like to know more about the position, please call Director Lars Kaas Nielsen on +45 49 11 25 57. We will take candidates into the recruitment process continuously, so do not hesitate to apply. This position will remain open until a suitable candidate has been found.
