Modularization Specialist (Senior/Principal)

Would you like to play a key role in implementing the strategic direction for modularization in Coloplast and our pilot plant, ensuring modularity is incorporated into the development of new Coloplast processes supporting our products and platforms?

Then let us welcome you into our collaborative environment where knowledge sharing and innovative ideation come to life as you collaborate closely with various R&D and Innovation functions.

Join us to play an active part in fulfilling our new Coloplast strategy “Impact4” and be part of making a difference to people with intimate health care needs.

Step into our Pilot Plant and R&D, CC&BC (Continence and Bowel) Innovation

Here, we are 55 highly skilled colleagues; technical specialists, project specialists, technicians, and operators – all working to search, develop, and mature processes for medical device products.

You will be based in Mørdrup, but frequently also work out of the Humlebæk site, where the rest of the R&D organization is located. And you will be our full-time experienced specialist alongside 2 part-time specialists working in the modularity change initiative in the CC&BC area in Pilot Plant

Be the front-runner for modularization

In this role, you will act as a link in Pilot Plant between our modularization change initiative and a running project program in the CC and BC areas. Collaborating closely with process engineers and technicians, you will adapt processes for modular components.

Specifically, you will play an active part in our (Pilot Plant and R&D Development for our) new product and project programs, ensuring that modularization is taken into consideration during process design and manufacturing by:

• Supporting modularization initiatives within defined product lines and related manufacturing processes

• Ensuring modular design principles are fully integrated into manufacturing processes to drive efficiency, flexibility, and scalability

• Making sure emerging technologies to enhance modularization and manufacturing efficiency are evaluated

• Understanding the user needs and translating them into technical specifications and processes.

Technical expertise as a modularization architect or modularization engineer

Being outgoing, you interact easily at all levels of an organization as well as with external partners. Moreover, you take a highly structured approach to your tasks, teamwork comes naturally, and you understand that collaboration is the key to success in our work. Thinking strategically, you are able to align modularization with business and manufacturing strategies. And finally, we imagine that you:

• Hold a B.Sc. or a M.Sc. in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or similar, and several years of experience working with complex technical R&D projects, e.g. in a specialist role

• Have solid technical expertise working as a modularization architect or modularization engineer/specialist manufacturing process engineering and modular design principles

• Possess knowledge and experience of product and process development, understanding modular architecture and interface management

• Have experience with process optimization, e.g. value stream mapping, automation integration, Lean, Six Sigma

• Have knowledge of QA and EHS systems and requirements

• Are fluent in English

It is not a pre-requisite to have experience from working within the medical device industry, but an advantage to understand the regulations within the industry.
