Job Function Summary
We are seeking a commercially driven Business Developer to strengthen our market position in the Gulf region by developing and managing distributor partnerships in ostomy care, continence care, and wound care. This role is critical to unlocking growth opportunities, expanding access to our solutions, and ensuring we serve healthcare professionals and patients effectively through trusted local partners.
Major Areas of Accountability
- Lead the commercial development of our portfolio (ostomy, continence, wound care) with distributors across the Gulf countries.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with distributor leadership and field teams to ensure alignment on business priorities, execution plans, and performance expectations.
- Develop country-specific business plans in collaboration with distributors, including sales targets, market penetration strategies, and key account approaches (e.g., hospitals, clinics, pharmacies).
- Monitor and drive performance, ensuring monthly and quarterly targets are met & tracked through KPIs. Implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Support distributor capability building, including product training, sales force effectiveness, and healthcare professional engagement practices.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, tender processes, and ethical business conduct in the healthcare sector.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with regional marketing, medical affairs, and supply chain to ensure smooth coordination across functions.
- Provide market insights, including competitive activity, reimbursement changes, and customer feedback, to guide strategic decisions.
Basic qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or related field. An advanced degree (MBA or healthcare-related) is a plus.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- 5–7 years of experience in business development, sales, or key account management within the medical devices or healthcare sector.
- Hands-on experience working with or managing distributors in the Gulf region, ideally within ostomy, continence, or wound care.
- Strong understanding of healthcare systems, reimbursement dynamics, and regulatory environments in the Middle East.
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive results through indirect leadership.
- Fluent in English; Arabic is a strong asset.
- Culturally aware, with the ability to build trust in a multi-country, relationship-driven environment.
- Willingness to travel extensively across the Gulf (up to 50–60%).
