The Manager, Clinical Strategy, Chronic Care is accountable for shaping the clinical direction of Coloplast’s Chronic Care business in Canada through evidence generation, strategic clinical education, and meaningful KOL engagement. This role synthesizes clinical insights, real‑world product outcomes, and market needs to inform commercial strategy and strengthen Coloplast’s position as a clinically trusted partner. 

 

This is a non‑promotional role aligned to the Chronic Care commercial strategy while maintaining clinical independence. 

Major Areas of Accountability

 

Strategic KOL Engagement (Non‑Promotional) 

  • Build and maintain trusted, peer‑level relationships with national and regional KOLs. 
  • Develop structured KOL engagement plans aligned to Chronic Care priorities. 
  • Facilitate scientific exchange to gather insights and understand emerging clinical needs. 
  • Serve as the primary Coloplast clinical representative in scientific discussions and forums. 

 Lead Local Real‑World Evidence (RWE) and Clinical Product Evaluations 

  • Design and lead local evidence generation initiatives (non‑interventional, real‑world). 
  • Partner with clinicians to conduct structured product evaluations and trials-in-practice. 
  • Analyze and translate RWE findings into insights for marketing and leadership. 
  • Ensure all activities follow promotional compliance and non‑promotional boundaries. 

Clinical Education Leadership 

  • Develop structured external clinical education programs (webinars, scientific forums) in conjunction with KOLs. 
  • Collaborate with Marketing to ensure accuracy, credibility, and compliance of materials. 
  • Represent Coloplast’s clinical voice at national conferences and speaking engagements. 
  • Act as the organization’s internal clinical SME for Chronic Care. 
  • Represent the clinical perspective in innovation feedback loops. 

Clinical Insights to Support Strategy and Sales Effectiveness 

  • Serve as the clinical advisor in cross-functional planning with Marketing and Sales. 
  • Translate clinical insights, trends, and KOL feedback into actionable recommendations. 
  • Inform go‑to‑market strategies, messaging, and customer value propositions. 
  • Guide teams on evidence interpretation, clinical messaging, and claims boundaries. 
  • Provide internal clinical training focused on clinical knowledge, evidence, and product use within claims boundaries, leveraging clinical insights shared through collaboration with Marketing.

Basic Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse with a Bachelors Degree 
  • Required NSWOC/WOCC certification along with CNA 
  • Demonstrated Case Study and Poster development and presentation at conferences/events
  • 5+ years experience in a clinical setting working with patients and/or end users 
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret clinical publications 
  • Tailors clinical education and training to meet the needs of diverse audiences. 
  • Exceptional written and presentation skills 
  • Able and willing to travel domestically within Canada up to 30% of the time, and occasional international travel (including the US)
  • Employees in this role are expected to meet healthcare customers in person at their facilities or healthcare systems; therefore, this will require completion of credentialing requirements that meet the access requirements of each healthcare facility or system.
  • Employees must possess a valid driver’s license, as driving will be required for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual
  • Previous medical/med‑tech industry experience. 
  • Demonstrated project management experience. 
  • High attention to detail, organization, and follow‑through; ability to prioritize multiple initiatives. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). 
  • Self‑starter with strong stakeholder management skills. 
  • Completion of thesis-based Masters program

  • Competitive Compensation: The compensation range for this position is $109,000 - $136,000. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location. Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses and/or incentives.
