Job Description:

 

The Production IT Technician (OT Technician) is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing operational technology (OT) systems, including industrial networks, automation systems, and control systems. This role ensures the reliability, security, and efficiency of OT infrastructure within an industrial or manufacturing environment. The OT Technician works closely with OT engineering and production teams to support the integration of OT systems while maintaining compliance with cybersecurity and safety standards.

 

Key Responsabilities:

 

Operational Technology Support & Maintenance:

  • Install, configure, and maintain industrial control operating system (ICS).
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of OT hardware and software.
  • Support production systems to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency.

 

Network & Infrastructure 

  • Monitor and troubleshoot network connectivity issues within the production machine
  • Ensure OT systems comply with cybersecurity best practices and industry standards.
  • Follow the coloring code network cabling standard for OT devices.

 

Automation & Control Systems:

 

  • Work with engineers to support and troubleshoot  SCADA systems.
  • Maintain and update automation system software and configurations.
  •  Assist in programming and integrating OT systems with IT infrastructure when necessary.

 

Cybersecurity & compliance:

 

  • Implement security controls to protect OT systems from cyber threats.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, such as IEC 62443, NIST, ISO 27001 and cooporate procedures and standards.
  • Maintain proper documentation of OT assets, configurations, and access controls.

 

Collaboration & Support:

 

  • Work closely with IT and production teams to ensure smooth OT/IT integration.
  • Train production staff on basic OT system usage and troubleshooting procedures (Printers, OT Desktops)
  • Support the implementation of new OT technologies and system upgrades.
  • Hardware and maintenance support for OT devices (Printers and OT Desktops).
  • Use PoB system for ticket and support handling.

 

Responsible for:

  • Performing their job in compliance with the guidelines given
  • Drawing attention to the manager to any difficulties in understanding or following the guidelines
  • Drawing attention to inefficiency of the system
  • Take responsibility for those safety aspects identified for the given position
  • Support the positive EHS culture

 

 

Essential Qualifications:

 

  • High School Diploma
  • Technical Degree in Computer, IT, Network or related field or University Degree Student with more than 50% of the career completed in IT, Industrial Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven IT/OT supporter experience of more than 3 years
  • English level B2
  • Experience with industrial control systems (SCADA, HMIs, Vision System).
  • Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP) and industrial communication protocols (Modbus, OPC, Profibus, EtherNet/IP).
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles for OT environments.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and Windows/Linux environments.
  • Flexibility to work on-call or during off-hours for maintenance and emergency support.
  • Commitment to staying updated with the latest trends in OT, automation, and cybersecurity.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Technial Support, Cisco CCNA,)
  • Experience in Medical Industry

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with different departments.
