Cost Controller Analyst

Job Function Summary:
The Cost Controller is a member of the finance department, focus in production, will support the analysis and control of manufacturing costs for medical products within the different value streams of the company. 

Responsible for maintaining accurate cost records, analyzing manufacturing variances, supporting inventory valuation, and assisting with cost-related reporting in compliance with industry standards and internal controls.

Major Areas of Accountability:

• Monitor, analyze, and report on standard and actual costs for manufactured medical products.
• Weekly / Daily review of Work Orders, assuring data integrity and working close to corporate and value stream planners to correct when necessary. Take corrective action immediately.
• Support in the investigation of cost variances and provide explanations to support decision-making.
• Maintain accurate Bill Of Materials (BOM) and routing data to ensure traceability, consistency and reliability of product cost structures
• Responsible for Manufacturing Accounting, Data integrity and ensure accurate Inventory reconciliations.  (working closely to CPBC)
• Work closely with operations, production, and supply chain teams to ensure accurate BOMs and routing data.
• Support in the investigation of cost variances and Perform comparative cost analysis across each Value Stream.
• Review, analyze and support approval of Change Controls.
• Assist in the preparation of cost forecasts and Cost Roll Processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve cost controls, reporting accuracy, and process efficiencies.
• Collaborate in internal and external audits related to costs and prices.
• Collaborate with the Production cost controller with the Cost Roll update process.

Responsible of:

• Performing their job in compliance with the guidelines given.
• Drawing attention to the manager to any difficulties in understanding or following the guidelines.
• Drawing attention to inefficiency of the system.
• Take responsibility for those safety aspects identified for the given position.
• Support the positive EHS culture.

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting / Finance or related areas. Preferably Costs emphasis.
• 2-4 years of experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing or medical devices environment 
• B2 English level.
• Strong MS Excel skills (pivot tables, Vlookups, etc), MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.
• Extensive knowledge of operations  and production costs.
• Experience with ERP systems.
