Chemical Processes Supervisor

Job function summary
Supports and ensures the success of the chemical processes. This position is responsible for meeting and/or exceeding the weekly output goals, improving processes, and developing employees through training and other opportunities. Direct technical support functions to maintain and continuously improve equipment, process, and facilities.
Major areas of accountability
• People management responsibilities for the chemical processes.
• Responsible for people development plans and performance reviews of the staff.
• Professional supervision of the supply systems of the machinery fleet in the chemical production area.
• Study production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment and projects.
• Interpret company policies for workers and enforces safety regulations.
• Establish or adjust work schedules to meet production requirements.
• Responsible for the creation of Job descriptions and training plans of all direct reports
• Production plan adherence to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Work with supply chain, warehouse, and materials on inventory accuracy.
• Work with finance on identification of adjustments to work order/inventory/improvement opportunities.
• Planning of maintenance of production machines, supporting continuous production.
• Ensure the execution of scheduled maintenance activities.
• Organization of chemical trainings for other employees where required.
• Exploring and solving technical problems together with suppliers, technical staff, and operators.
• Analyzing and improvement of technical processes, production machines and equipment.
• Ensure to meet the required levels of Safety, Quality, Output and Cost.
• Installation, assembly & commissioning of production equipment and lines.
• Support technicians in discovering failures, quick and professional troubleshooting.
Responsible for:
• Performing their job in compliance with the guidelines given
• Drawing attention to the manager to any difficulties in understanding or following the guidelines
• Drawing attention to inefficiency of the system
Essential qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 3-5 years’ experience in roles of increasing responsibility in manufacturing processes.
• Experience with chemical mixing processes
• Experience with Continuous Improvement Initiatives
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred qualifications
• General knowledge of electromechanical systems (Pneumatics and Mechanics)
• Understanding mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies such Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.
• Desirable experience working in FDA regulated environment.
Required knowledge, skills & abilities
• Knowledge of industrial chemical processes.
• Problem solving skills.
• Good English knowledge.
