Warehouse EHS Coordinator

The Warehouse EHS Coordinator is responsible for the implementation, administration, and day-to-day execution of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs, policies, and procedures. The Warehouse EHS Coordinator serves as the primary site resource for deploying, maintaining, and monitoring EHS initiatives. This role focuses on basic safety support activities, recordkeeping, inspections, and employee assistance under the direction of site leadership and U.S. EHS.
Major Areas of Accountability
- EHS Support & Administration
- Assist with the implementation of EHS programs, policies, and procedures established by the U.S. EHS Team.
- Perform basic EHS administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and maintaining training and inspection records.
- Help distribute EHS communications, signage, and materials throughout the warehouse.
- Support site leadership with assigned EHS tasks and projects.
- Warehouse Safety Support
- Assist with routine safety walks and inspections of warehouse areas.
- Observe work activities and report safety hazards, risks, and other concerns.
- Help monitor housekeeping, emergency equipment, rack safety, dock areas, and material handling practices.
- Assist with tracking, follow-up, and completion of corrective actions.
- Assist with injury response and injury management.
- Lead the Ergonomics team, perform ergonomic assessments, and support ergonomic improvements.
- Training & Employee Assistance
- Help coordinate and lead required safety training sessions and track employee completion.
- Lead new-hire safety orientations and safety tours.
- Answer basic EHS questions from employees and refer more complex issues to U.S. EHS.

- Incident Reporting and Investigation Assistance
- Help collect information related to injuries, incidents, and near misses.
- Assist with completing reports and maintaining incident records per corporate procedures.
- Support follow-up activities and corrective action as directed.
- Teamwork & Communication
- Work closely with warehouse supervisors and team members to promote safe work practices.
- Lead local EHS committees
- Lead safety talks and safety stand-downs.
- Communicate observations and concerns to the site leadership and U.S. EHS.
- Scope & Authority
- Provides support and assistance for ISO 45001 Health and Safety program implementation and administration at the warehouse.
- Works under the guidance and direction of site leadership and the U.S. EHS Team.

Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse, distribution, or industrial setting (or strong interest in safety).
- 1-2 years of experience supporting EHS related initiatives.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and recordkeeping.
- Willingness to learn EHS requirements and follow established procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Coursework or training in safety, industrial operations, or a related field.
- OSHA 10 certification (or willingness to obtain).
- First Aid, CPR, AED certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Powered Industrial Truck Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ergonomics Certification (or willingness to obtain)
Physical & Work Requirements
- Regularly walk warehouse floor, including dock areas.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
- May require flexible hours to support warehouse operations.
