Warehouse Associate I

This is a key role in the Distribution team delivering excellent customer service and team performance that is measured through WFRL (order fulfillment), CROL (customer claims), individual productivity, etc in accordance with company targets. Expected to perform an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing, and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse. 

Major Areas of Accountability

  • To process, pick, pack Customers’ orders in line with Quality Management System 
  • Undertake general warehouse duties as directed by the Supervisors or Warehouse Manager 
  • Replenish materials in the area and when required. 
  • To carry out order checks as advised by Supervisor or Warehouse Manager 
  • Achieve monthly individual performance targets for the area of work.  
  • Feel confident to develop ideas and offer input to improve the warehouse processes and prepare them for constantly changing business situations

  • To personally maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout working day and to ensure that any issue is brought to attention of a supervisor or Warehouse Manger 
  • Other job duties as assigned
  • Shall follow EHS and quality requirements
  • Performing their job in compliance with the guidelines given
  • Drawing attention to the manager to any difficulties in understanding or following the guidelines
  • Drawing attention to inefficiency of the system
  • Take responsibility for those safety aspects identified for the given position
  • Support the positive EHS culture

Level of Decision Making

The position holder has all necessary authorities to carry out the tasks described under responsibilities, with the limitations mentioned below and with Coloplast general rules and guidelines: Position holder cannot:

  • Change own job description
  • Change policy for the area
  • Change the strategy – and /or activity plans
  • Involve external persons in projects, which may give them knowledge of strategical and tactical issues without previous acceptance from (relevant manager)

The position holder is authorized to make quality related decisions and handle lot status codes in E1 after being trained.

Basic Qualifications

  • Warehouse or Production environment experience is desirable.
  • Knowledge of working good distribution principles, ideally within the healthcare industry 
  • Highschool diploma or GED 
  • Knowledge and a good understanding of OSHA 
  • Demonstrate numeracy skills 
  • Basic PC skills including proven keyboard basic, MS office skills, and have used a RF scanners or similar system 
  • Willingness to learn Material Handling Equipment certification or MHE experience

  • Operational and non-operational Skills documented in local Skill Matrix and Training plan according to VV-0559444 GD SKILL Management Instruction
  • Training defined in the Global Distribution Training Catalogue
  • Basic ISO 9001/ ISO 13485
  • Basic MDSAP Audit
