EHS Engineer - 12 Month Fixed Contract

You will be responsible for deploying and administering EHS programs, policies, procedures, and training. As a member of the North America EHS team, you will partner with Global Distribution and supporting functions. This position will be based onsite at Coloplast’s Brookshire, TX Distribution Center.

 

Major Areas of Accountability

  • Continually improve safety and environmental performance
  • Develop and deliver EHS training and orientations
  • Deploy and revise EHS documentation, including policies, procedures, and instructions
  • Build relationships with internal customers to resolve day-to-day EHS issues and achieve long-term, strategic EHS objectives
  • Own and execute EHS projects; lead teams to complete project objectives
  • Maintain EHS data and build routine reports
  • Ensure Incidents, Non-Conformities, and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) are appropriately investigated, managed and closed
  • Facilitate injury response and incident investigations.
  • Lead local EHS committee
  • Ensure safety requirements are fulfilled for new or modified equipment
  • Lead ergonomic and repetitive work assessments and improvements.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Maintaining powered industrial truck safety programs and administration of powered industrial truck telemetry systems.

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum three (3) years of professional Occupational Health and Safety experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Professional experience in direct support of a manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Intermediate level experience using Microsoft Excel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Management systems experience: ISO 45001
  • Progress toward ASP/CSP certification
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish)

  • Ability to work independently with limited guidance
