Who are we looking for 

 

The BI Analyst plays a key role within the Commercial Development function, supporting data-driven decision-making through the development and maintenance of Power BI dashboards, forecasting support, reports, and analytical tools. The role ensures accurate, timely, and user-friendly data visualization to support Sales and Management teams, while collaborating closely with internal stakeholders to translate business needs into effective BI solutions and actionable insights.

 

Main responsibilities

 

  • Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications for dashboards and reporting solutions.
  • Design, build, and deploy Power BI dashboards and BI reporting tools.
  • Maintain, update, and troubleshoot Power BI datasets, data models, and reports.
  • Support periodic sales and demand forecasting processes, including trend analysis and monthly rolling forecasts, in collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Analyse sales performance trends to provide forward-looking insights.
  • Identify and integrate relevant data sources to support reporting and analysis needs.
  • Evaluate and continuously improve BI systems, dashboards, and reporting processes.
  • Document BI processes, dashboards, and data flows to ensure transparency and continuity.
  • Provide training and support to internal users to enhance data literacy and dashboard adoption.

Education and Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science or related fields
  • Past experience in similar roles: 3-5 years in data analysis, business intelligence or reporting roles
  • Understanding of business processes and ability to link data insights to strategic objectives
  • Basic experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams
  • Power BI: dashboard creation, data modeling, DAX basics, dataset management
  • Advanced Excel: pivot tables, Power Query, formulas
  • Knowledge of data visualization principles and KPI design
  • Familiarity with CRM/ERP systems (preferred)

 

Workplace: Bologna, with smart working 3-days a week
