The Price Governance Director will lead a central and high-impact team comprising key functions of Price governance and control, pricing strategy and Pricing insights, Price systems as well as end-to-end management of our VoBP project cockpit.
This position is instrumental for securing and protecting the value pools across our Chronic Care business areas and sales channels as well as for shaping and executing the pricing strategies in accordance with our overall business area strategies
Operationally, this position is responsible for revising and building appropriate governance and control mechanisms, monitor internal and external developments of our effective price points and their competitiveness in the market, and advise management on timely course of actions to address price and margin related business opportunities and challenges, based on rigorous price intelligence, robust processes and cross-functional collaborations.
The Price Governance Director plays a pivotal role in safeguarding and unlocking value pools, driving sustainable gross profit growth and will act as a neutral Center of Excellence in its advisory role to both long-term strategy, mid-term business plans and short-term execution against our priorities.
This role will serve as a strategic leader and key member of the China Management team reporting directly to the Senior Vice President Asia Pacific / Country Manager China Chronic Care.

主要职责/责任Essential Duties / Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Governance
- Lead and evolve the Price Governance organization, incl. VoBP, Price Governance & Systems teams
- Define, develop and own the pricing approval framework, including SOPs and system enablement, ensuring robust governance without direct involvement in transactional approvals but be responsible for the adherence to our price control frameworks
- Process owner for price reviews for performance management, both locally and towards HQ
- Develop and own price monitoring & governance frameworks, tools and processes
Pricing Strategy & Execution
- Focus teams and resources towards value creation of absolute Gross Profit, balancing the needs for margin improvements and top-line generation through pricing and price governance that best matches willingness-to-pay for key brands of our business areas
- Ensure strong execution of our VoBP project plans through VoBP lead and cross-functional project teams
Insights & Intelligence
- Develop price intelligence incorporating existing systems and databases and facilitate the intelligence gathering from Sales, Marketing & Distribution teams
- Generates price & pricing insights to assist in managerial decision making both operationally and strategically
Organizational Development & Capability Building
- Build a high-performing team with a strong focus on leadership development, functional expertise, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement within the pricing function.
Stakeholder Engagement & Influence
- Act as a senior advisor and sparring partner to China Management on pricing, go-to-market, and distribution model strategies.
- Serve as the primary liaison to HQ on all pricing-related matters, ensuring alignment and transparency.
- Champion pricing excellence across functions, driving adoption of best practices and embedding pricing as a strategic lever.
任职资格Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in related field, MBA preferred
- At least 10 years of commercial experience from life science industry with a proven track record of results
- Experience in setting a compelling commercial direction and build strong plans when leading VoBP or pricing process
- Full commercial understanding of corporate and operational business issues, including all elements of problem solving through process management
- Strong leadership experience including build and develop a stable team
- The candidate must have international exposure in MNC
- Strong analytical skills and business insight
- Fluent in both English and Chinese

- Demonstrated experience with pricing best practices, preferably with Life Science background
- Advanced analytical experience with a strong ability to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations
- Proven project management experience
- Strong interpersonal skills to lead cross-functional teams with emphasis on creating transparency and alignment of pricing related business priorities and their translation into workflows and processes across teams
- Extensive experience operating within multinational environments, with a proven ability to adapt commercial strategies and leadership approaches to diverse cultural contexts and stakeholder expectations.
- Driven and self-started with the ability to identify issues and proactively work towards solving them – with own team and across teams
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple complex tasks and priorities
- Ability to remain outcome-focused even in times of pressure and ambiguity
