Objectives of this Role and department

  • Collaborate with the sales team to uncover insights and strategies to develop and implement marketing and branding strategies for new and existing products, internally and externally
  • Oversee and grow the marketing department, consistently identifying revenue opportunities within our established client base and managing consistent growth by identifying new growth opportunities with current and future product portfolio
  • Identify short-term and long-term scheduling, budget and resource needs, including the development and management of the annual marketing budget, profit/loss projections, expenditure spending and other financial considerations
  • Understand key marketing performance metrics and tracking tools to provide market research, forecasts, competitive analyses, campaign results and consumer trends to translate results into actionable insights for marketing team

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing guidance to our marketing department by evaluating and developing marketing strategies, planning and coordinating marketing efforts, communicating the marketing plans to those involved, and building awareness and positioning for company's brands
  • Lead the development of marketing plans while working closely with clients, HQ, local management team, product and medical teams to create an effective and efficient marketing strategy focused on growing audiences for our products and services
  • Spearhead the strategic and tactical execution of marketing campaigns
  • Manage conception, development, and implementation of marketing plan and strategies, product concepts, and promotional programs to drive interest and sales
  • Develop a high performing marketing team – organization, coaching and collaboration between marketing & sales
  • Lead our collaboration with clinical customers and KOLs on national level
  • Build strong relationship with HQ teams and provide strategic input and market analysis to influence global decision & planning to match needs in China
  • Participate and represent China BU at global level – together with VP, China

Leadership profile

The optimal profile should have extensive marketing experience and a comprehensive knowledge of branding. He/she will have the ability to lead a complex team of product management, medical marketing and regional marketing. The profile should have 5-10 years of relevant experience of which minimum 5 years in a leadership capacity.

  • Master degree (or MBA) in business, marketing or health sciences
  • Solid marketing experience from pharmaceutical or medical device industry
  • Leadership experience, including building and leading a high-performing team
  • Sales or Consumer experience also will be an asset in this role
  • Experience in setting the strategic direction and building strong commercial plans together with sales leadership – and drive the strategic implementation
  • Cross cultural experience from working in an international business environment and experience from working in both HQ and a subsidiary function is preferred
  • Project management experience with ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Fluent in English & Mandarin
