Job Summary / Purpose
The Compliance Manager is responsible for the implementation of the local business ethics and compliance program and for managing local business ethics and compliance projects.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities
Ad 1: Interaction with local management, other business and external stakeholders
- Supporting Regional Compliance officer and local management in understanding and responding to business ethics compliance risks related to strategic goals for the Region
- Proactively interacting with and independently communicating to local management on business ethics compliance and projects and on ensuring proper governance
Ad 2: Tactical responsibility for supporting the regional organization
- Support implementation of global codes of conduct, Coloplast’s Compliance Management Framework, and other global, regional and local policies, tools and systems
- Execute local training and communication strategies and tools required to foster the globally required ethical and compliant company culture across businesses in the designated geographical area of responsibility
- Conduct compliance testing, monitoring and mitigation plans in cooperation with the Regional Compliance Officer and local management
- Contribute to Group compliance projects and independently managing and implementing local business ethics compliance projects
- Communicate externally with third parties (e.g. distributors and other business partners) and internally on alignment with key business ethics principles
- Partner with the local management teams with the purpose of early identification of compliance risks and to facilitate/align/develop best practices in the designated geographical area of responsibility
- In collaboration with the Regional Compliance Officer and Group Business Ethics develop and implement ad hoc training and communication specifically targeted at business units, markets or functions requiring targeted training to mitigate risk in the local market/Region
- Interact with third parties on e.g. due diligence and distributor training
Ad 3: Daily organizational interaction and responsibility for compliance matters
- Be a subject matter expert on:
- Code of conduct and other global compliance policies
- Local industry guidelines and regulations
- Applicable local legal compliance guidelines and frameworks
- Compliance best practices
- Support assessment and management of business ethics compliance risks (identification, assessment, prioritization, mitigation and management) at country/site level
- Review contracts with distributors, healthcare professionals and healthcare organizations based on applicable contract templates
- Counsel and advise all aspects within the area of responsibility
- Support investigations as mandated by the Ethics Hotline Group when required
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor degree
- 3 years’ experience with business ethics & compliance
- Preferably experience from the Medical Device or the Pharmaceutical industry is preferable
- Has been in roles involving interaction with senior management
- Experience from a similar role is an advantage
- Knowledge of data privacy principles and regulation is an advantage
