Sales and Customer Service Training Manager

The Training Manager is responsible for supporting Comfort Medical sales, customer service, and revenue cycle management teams through the design, development, coordination and/or implementation of ongoing training programs and curriculum that include: sales and communication skills, product knowledge, coverage/reimbursement knowledge, and operations.

Major Areas of Accountability

  • Designs, coordinates and facilitates/delivers core curriculum, customer knowledge and operations, reimbursement criteria, as well as relevant selling environment information to ensure all new hires are fully knowledgeable of the key focus areas for Comfort Medical. New hire content areas include: product knowledge, customer knowledge and operations, key reimbursement criteria, selling environment information and general market understanding
  • Develop company-wide training curriculum for new and existing employees to improve product knowledge, competitive selling skills, and end-user experience
  • Collaborates with local leadership and sales management team to determine training needs, develop and assess training curriculum, delivery approaches and overall training effectiveness
  • Coordinates training logistics, including but not limited to: managing multiple stakeholders, managing master training schedule, etc.
  • Observes and proactively identifies training needs to design and deliver training to close identified gaps
  • Routine Y-Cording/call audits with staff to help develop their skills
  • Collaborates and supports Coloplast Sales Training Managers to develop and facilitate leadership development
  • Maintain compliance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) for all work.
  • Remain knowledgeable of Medicare policies and federal/state regulations that affect fulfillment activities and maintain compliance with same.
  • Manages training coordinators and contractors as needed by management.
  • Other job duties and projects as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years of successful learning and development and/or sales training experience in healthcare industry, DME experience preferred
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in designing and developing training courses and/or programs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Able to travel occasionally (domestic and/or global)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in contact center and/or DME industry
  • Experience managing learning management system
  • Experience with developing eLearning and/or video-casting software
