Physician Relationship Manager

  • Initiate outbound calls; correctly describe to potential physicians and customers the products and services provided, process customer data correctly, while maintaining a high level of professionalism with a positive, outgoing attitude. 

 

Major Areas of Accountability

  • Present and sell company product and services to new and existing customers.
  • Prospect and contact potential customers.
  • Reach agreed upon sales targets by the deadline.
  • Resolve customer inquiries and complaints.
  • Set follow-up appointments to keep customers aware of latest developments.
  • Create sales material to present to customers.
  • Service existing accounts, obtain doctor order forms (DOFs), and establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential physicians.
  • Schedule appointments with physicians/healthcare professionals to establish and maintain the Company’s visibility, provide and distribute samples when necessary, DOF pads, etc., within Medicare’s guidelines.
  • Describe accurately and professionally the products and service offered by the Company.
  • Make outbound calls to potential physicians and customers (i.e. individuals who have requested information).
  • Gather and enter accurate physician and customer information into the computer database.
  • Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as meeting daily call goals, making weekly work plans.
  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
  • Recommend changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Meet or exceed minimum sales requirements. 
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Obtain insurance and payment information for each referral (request customer’s demographic sheet).
  • Be available for inbound calls when necessary; transfer calls to appropriate departments when necessary.
  • Be able to navigate between different computer systems in order to correctly enter the physician’s and customer’s information.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures with an emphasis on professional behavior and Medicare compliance.
  • Additional duties as directed by the Department’s senior management.
  • Maintain an excellent attendance record, including punctuality.

 

Basic Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fields.
  • English/Spanish bilingual preferred.
  • Ability to build strong rapport and develop a long-lasting relationship with clients.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms (Salesforce.com).
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all parties.
  • Deadline and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently, and multi-task.
