Finance Manager 

Comfort Medical, a wholly owned subsidiary of Coloplast, has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager to join our growing team!


The Finance Manager, Comfort Medical is responsible for business performance and Profit and Loss management through growth initiatives, process improvement and spending control. This role includes ownership over planning and analysis, forecasting, expense management, strategic initiative analysis as well as accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets and audit processes. The Finance Manager will work closely with the Comfort Leadership team and the Vice President of Business Support for North America.


Major Areas of Accountability

  • Oversee day to day operations of the Comfort Medical finance and account team; lead the team to develop and implement effective and efficient finance processes
  • Accountable and responsible for the preparation and management of internal financial reporting, forecasts of future business growth, monthly and yearly forecasts, and monthly business performance reviews
  • This role also owns local controllership and ownership of accounts payable, accounts receivable and other accounting functions
  • Advise, influence, and guide senior business leaders on financial and operational implications of business strategies
  • Continually improve expense and revenue reporting for Comfort that enable business leaders to meet their forecasted targets in an ever-changing business
  • Help establish tools and processes that improve profitability of the organization
  • Partner with the broader finance organization to implement improved financial controls and processes within Comfort
  • Other duties as assigned


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or MBA degree in Business, Economics, Finance or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with managing a team in a fast-paced environment, knowledge of the DME preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in FP&A or similar role
  • Strong financial and business acumen and excellent strategic business understanding
  • Able to effectively communicate with all levels and areas of the organization, leading multiple projects and manage deadlines; proficient in English

  • Ability to advise and collaborate with senior leaders
  • Demonstrates leadership and confidence with finance and healthcare compliance issues
  • A team player with the ability to use strong verbal and analytical reasoning skills to analyze, assess corporate risk, and communicate to appropriate internal stakeholders
  • Ability to lead direct reports independently
  • Self-motivated and high energy personality thriving in an entrepreneurial, “hands on”, fast-paced environment, characterized by growth, change, and opportunity.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office platforms (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, Word), QuickBooks preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including ability to convey concepts or trends via presentations           
  • Proven ability to manage and lead cross-functional projects & teams, prioritize and drive strategic objectives
  • Ability to effectively dig into the details and think at a strategic level
